In February, the CBGC team made deliveries of free food in Coventry as part of our ‘Rate my Plate’ challenge.

Our tireless team members zig-zagged Coventry in order to deliver fresh food packages. These exciting parcels included fresh ingredients such as vegetables and chicken breast. We threw in some further goodies, and added some fact sheets and recipe’s to get those creative juices flowing!

It was all part of our #CBGCratemyplatechallenge, encouraging young people to get engaged with the process of making a meal. As many families come to terms with the UK’s third extended lockdown, we hoped to provide a fun and educational family activity that could involve the whole household.

We were certainly not disapointed! In fact, CBGC were blown away by the quality of entries, making it very difficult to choose an eventual winner. From curry’s, to breaded chicken, our stomachs were rumbling as we received some amazing images.

We felt that the quality of dishes had exceeded our expectations, and the presentation was off the charts. In the end, when put to a vote, Cohen came out as the victor. He will now receive a £20 ‘Just Eat’ voucher for his efforts. Of course, we feel that all the entries are winners in our eyes… or should we say stomachs!
