Christmas Food & Toy Drive 2021

As part of our Christmas in the Community events this year, CBGC accepted food and toy donations to re-distribute back into the local Coventry area.

The Independent newspaper reports that 45% of food banks were preparing to cut food parcels in the run-up to Christmas, due to supply problems and rising demand. Additionally, due the pandemic, many families income has been reduced, making it a challenge to make sure children’s stockings are full this year. We wanted to help.

Your donations provided a warm glow while helping the environment too! Not to mention putting smiles on faces during the upcoming season of goodwill! We would like to thank AJ from Coventry for collecting our 2 large bins full of toys and food that had been kindly gifted by young people, their families, members of CBGC, staff, volunteers, and the wider public. The toys and food were delivered to Kairos along with SEN schools, and families in the local community.
