HAF
The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme is a government-funded initiative that provides free holiday provision for children and young people, particularly those eligible for free school meals.
The programme aims to ensure that young people have access to safe, enriching activities and nutritious food during school holidays.
At Coventry Boys and Girls Club, our HAF programme offers a wide range of engaging activities designed to support young people’s wellbeing, development, and enjoyment. Sessions include sports such as football, basketball, boxing and multi-sports, alongside creative opportunities like music, art, and group activities.
We provide a safe, inclusive environment where young people can have fun, build friendships, and develop confidence. Our approach is centred around wellbeing, ensuring that young people feel supported and able to speak to trusted staff if they need guidance or support.
In addition to activities, we offer healthy meals and snacks, helping to ensure that all young people attending have access to nutritious food throughout the day.
Our HAF provision also acts as a gateway into ongoing support, with opportunities for young people to access further youth sessions, mentoring, and community activities beyond the holiday period.
